This test covers what citizenship actually requires of you: the promise made in the Oath of Allegiance, the ways Americans take part in their democracy, the tax filing deadline and Selective Service registration. Officers often use this section to check that an applicant understands the obligations of citizenship, not only its benefits.
In the real interview the officer asks up to ten questions orally and stops once you reach six correct answers. Answers in this section are stable over time, which makes them some of the most reliable marks available to you.
